Tapping the line shut, I drop myself into the chair and get to work. If I’ve been hacked, and all the other cutoffs, security, and other access precautions have been bypassed, then there’s not much I can do to fix it at this point, given that it seems to have already done the damage it was going to do.
However, I can try to find out just what that damage was. It looks like it was an old fashioned email spam, which kind of makes sense if it came out of that feed from that twenty-five or thirty year old satellite. That could be a silver lining, if it just spammed all my email contacts. No real harm done.
I should get off with just being fired, rather than charged with criminal business negligence and losing my freelance license for up to ten years.
You want fries with that?
