“Coming!” I yank myself up and push Patrick through the doorway and toward his room.
“Everything’s fine,” I hiss as fast as I can, practically shoving him through his own door. “Just put your headset on and use your bedlight. You’ve been in your room reading since I told you to come home. You haven’t noticed a thing.”
I suddenly jerk myself to a stop, just before slamming his door shut. What the hell is wrong with me? Someone else hacked my system, and I’m acting like I’ve done something wrong.
