temporary absence, or the joys of home ownership

not that i’ve been terribly vocal lately, but i’ll likely be less so over the next week or so, as i pretend to be a builder, and work on replacing the shingles (with a minimum of structural replacement) of the main roof of our house, as well as replace all the siding (hopefully with the same minimal structural work), thanks to the winter and spring waters finding ways to play inside the house, instead of staying out.

it’s good solid physical work, and i’m able to cut the cost by doing the work with our contractor, but it also means i’m fairly well exhausted the rest of the time, as i’m not really used to this kind of thing.

anyway, i’ll hopefully be back with some bigger news after this is done.

  1. I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
