RoE – draft outline done!
one of my first milestones for a novel is reaching the end of the draft outline. today, i got there for Running on Empty, and i am excited. very excited.
the last few days have been the intellectual equivalent of a ball of yarn after the cats have had their way with it, but perseverance, alternate approaches, and the removal and subsequent re-inclusion of particular cast members have all served the purpose. this morning’s hour and a half before breakfast found me at the end of the book, and what a fun ride it’s going to be.
yes, there are some potential glitches and at least one scene that i have in concept but not in clarity, which i need to hammer out before i start writing, but the arcs are there, the action is aplenty, and Herrick is going to be some displeased with me before it’s over.
sound like fun?
