And we’re back!
So this was a longer break than I’d intended, thanks mainly to the cold that wouldn’t go away, but as is usually the case, it was probably for the best.* It ‘helped’ me not think about the story and writing and all the stuff that goes along with finishing the first draft of something like this and a bunch of the other craziness that shouldn’t be filling my brain at such times but, well, does.
Anyway, I’m feeling better. Not 100% yet, but the best I’ve felt since sometime in early January, which is both great and a bit depressing, but we’re dwelling on the great now, so there.
And in that quest to focus on the positive, I submit 3 stories to markets over the last couple days, with moderately high hopes for each one**, and I’ve just finished reading in the first 5 pages of TDYK!
And now, even better things await: Lillian is awake!
* Granted, I didn’t think so at the time, but that’s how these things work.
** including, if you’re interested, one went to the new Crowded Magazine, which actually asks readers to help choose the stories to include. I’m obviously biased, but it seems an interesting model. Check it out.
