HHNF blog tour recap & links

So, wow, the last two weeks have been quite a whirlwind round here, but what an excellent experience, too. As this was my first ever blog tour, I’ve been trying to get my head around what I’ve learned and come up with some kind of learnings and reflections.

Instead, the day job’s been extra busy this week and I’ve been trying to catch up on sleep. Lillian’s had a few nights of less-than-awesomeness, but that comes with the territory and we know we’re luckier than many folks, so no complaining.

That said, I didn’t want to let any more time pass before I at least said thanks to all the great folks who were part of the tour, from the blog folks who let me come by to you readers who hopefully found something interesting in the various guest posts and interviews I’ve done, as well as to the folks who’ve reviewed No Good Deed during this time (some related, some not). And let’s not forget the giveaways, some of which are still running!

Check out the list here.

So what did I learn from all this?

  1. There is a lot of support for indie and self-published authors out there.
  2. I’m not used to writing to deadlines! I spent so much time revising that nearly every thing I wrote for this tour was completed between 10pm and 12pm the night before it was posted.
  3. My tour organizer, Annabell Cadiz (of Illuminated Tours), is amazing. Period.
  4. I am very lucky.

I’m sure there’s more I could mention, but the brain is still recovering, so I’ll have to leave it at that.

  1. I learned that blog tour exist… and that they benefit from a roadie. And that being a roadie is good work, made better by supporting a cool act.
