Nothing is wasted

Today’s page and a half is still short of what I’m used to, but it’s forward progress and I’ll take it.

It’s also important to note that while I was, admittedly, less than thrilled with yesterday’s output, even those four sentences* were valuable, as they showed me the door out of what was feeling like a dead end. Again, the five-minute rule saves me: no time spent writing is wasted.

* and the numerous cross-outs, circles, re-cross-outs, re-wordings and re-re-cross-outs — no, this is not an exaggeration.
