Two pages! And encouragement! Woohoo!

[Update: In the excitement of the moment this morning, I fear I may have slighted those people who have been encouraging me from the start, for which I feel a complete heel. You know who you are and I hope you know that I am, and always will be, profoundly grateful. This is what I get for not giving it one more draft! Now, of course, I worry that newer folks will feel secondary, which is also not my intention, but in an attempt to take my foot out of my mouth, I’ll just have to end it here and hope everyone understands my intent, if not my execution — oh, my students will have a field day with this . . .]

The writing this morning was very good. Yesterday’s surprise statement by Denis (he’s the one who dropped the bombshell yesterday) has prompted some very interesting ripples throughout the storyline, all of which still feel good as I’ve begun to work through them. I’m sure there will be adjusting later, but for now, I think it really puts TDYK on the necessary next level.

And a very nice comment from a reader looking forward to TDYK really put the icing on the cake for me this morning. Thank you, Terri Ann!

Now for the day job!

* Thanks entirely to my wife, who got up at 4:30 to take care of the baby’s very early wakeup to let me continue writing. Honestly, none of this would be possible without her. Period.

  1. I’m another reader looking forward to TDYK. There is something weirdly sci-fi looking about that acronym. :)

    • Interesting. I hadn’t noticed it before, but as soon as you mentioned it, I saw it. Hm… (No! Stop! No more new ideas! Finish this one first!)
